9th AKOB NATIONAL CHAMBER MUSIC COMPETITION

As AKOB, we are delighted to have successfully organized the 9th National Chamber Music Competition of Türkiye, the country’s only national chamber music competition, on May 23–24 with great interest, participation, and excitement.

This year, 30 ensembles and 112 competitors participated in the General Chamber Music Performance Category, while 2 ensembles and 7 competitors took part in the Young Turkish Composer Performance Category, bringing the total participation to 32 ensembles and 119 young musicians.

The results of the 9th AKOB National Chamber Music Competition were evaluated and announced by the jury members: composer Dr. Turgay Erdener, pianist Dr. Ayşe İris Şentürker, clarinet artist Associate Professor Ebru Mine Sonakın Çeliker, and cellist and conductor Münif Akalın.
